With our assistance and the contribution of our products, the 100G link between Seznam and NIX in the Nagano datacenter was switched to the NIX passive POP.
For NIX, this is the first 100G to passive POP connection in the Nagano data centre. The list already has 2x 100G connections to NIX and the second connection is implemented from its own data center Kokura and NIX connection is implemented via CEColo.
The physical interconnection took place within the crossconnect of the LiSA CDR switchboard on the LC/APC connector platform as a full-fledged variant to the E2000/APC connectors. Connection paths between termination modules are realized by preconnectorized cables with MTP (MPO) connectors.
This gives NIX an interesting option for its customers to connect to NIX in colocation and semi-connections and as a cost-effective solution against the standard and outdated direct patching system. The use of the LiSA high-density crossconnect switchgear and the pre-connectorized system increased the termination capacity while reducing the area occupied in the DC, clarity and speed for operators.
